LONG-TERM  INSTITUTIONAL PERSPECTIVE PLAN

 

1. Academic Excellence: Academic Excellence is our central mission, with a relentless commitment to improve educational quality continuously.
2. Research and Innovation: NCP aspires to establish itself as a prominent hub for pharmaceutical research. Faculty members are driven to engage in research, collaborate with industry partners, and establish innovation centers.
3. Autonomy Preparation: NCP aims at autonomy plans to ensure the academic and administrative systems are ready for the transition.
4. Infrastructure Development: To provide the best resources for students, NCP will be upgrading and expanding the campus. This includes creating modern labs, improving library, recreational facilities and enhancing our technology facilities.
5. Industry Collaboration: In long term NCP will be increasing the collaboration and linkage with pharmaceutical companies and research organizations which in turn benefit the students through internships, job placements, and research opportunities.
6. Community Engagement: Beyond academics, NCP believe in giving back to the community by launching more programs to support community healthcare, raise awareness, and encourage community involvement.
7. Financial Sustainability: To ensure high-quality education, NCP is planning to implement sustainable financial models. This involves engaging alumni, collaborating with industries, and seeking grants to support NCP’s goal in gaining more independence in operations.

 

 

SHORT-TERM INSTITUTIONAL PERSPECTIVE PLAN (1-3 YEARS):

 

1. Academic Enhancement: Review and update the gaps in curriculum to align with industry trends and regulatory requirements.
2. Governance Structure: Revamp and review the activities of committees to improve governance.
3. Accreditation and Ranking: To review the activities of NBA and NAAC accreditation activities also to  participate in NIRF ranking and to get in the first 100 band
4. Faculty Development: Initiate faculty development programs and encourage research activities.
5. Student Engagement: Introduce student-centric initiatives, mentorship programs, and extracurricular activities.
6. Campus Infrastructure: Continue infrastructure development, including smart classrooms, modernization of laboratories, renovation and expansion of libraries.
7. Community Outreach: Launch community healthcare programs and engage students in socially responsible projects.
8.  Getting more research grants: Explore opportunities for generating grants from various Government and non government organizations.
   

 

 

DEPLOYMENT OF PLANS AT NATIONAL COLLEGE OF PHARMACY

National College of Pharmacy (NCP) is steadfast in its commitment to achieving a holistic transformation in the field of pharmacy education. To realize its strategic goals, NCP has taken deliberate and purposeful steps in their deployment:

• Curricular Innovation: NCP has initiated several methodologies to identify the gaps and as a remedy add-on courses were implemented
• Innovative Pedagogy: The institution promotes innovative teaching methodologies, including the integration of technology like VR and sharing Video content of active learning materials to enhance the educational experience.
• Student-centered learning: Implement teaching methods that focus on active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Student support services: Provides academic and career counseling, mental health support, and other services that promote student well-being and success.

2. Research and Innovation:

• Faculty Research Culture: NCP fosters a culture of research among faculty members, providing them with the necessary resources, and incentives to engage in cutting-edge research. The performance appraisal system will encourage faculty to do more research and innovation.

• Preparation and Compliance: NCP is diligently preparing to meet the criteria to get autonomous status. NCP meticulously indulge to make academic and administrative process ready for the transition.
• Governance Enhancement: Governance structures have been reviewed and improved to meet the necessary standards, ensuring readiness for the autonomy application process.

4. Governance and Accountability:

• Decentralization: NCP has embraced decentralization as a cornerstone of its governance model, empowering departments and committees to make informed decisions that contribute to the institution's efficiency.
• Transparency and Accountability: Robust mechanisms for transparency and accountability have been established to ensure that decision-making processes are clear, fair, and effective. Every decision and policy making will be displayed in Notice board/ websites etc.

5. Faculty Development:

• Professional Growth: Faculty members at NCP are encouraged to pursue professional growth through workshops, conferences, and training programs. They are given Financial support and point in PAR as an encouragement

• Campus Expansion: NCP has embarked on a comprehensive infrastructure development plan, initiated process for modernization of laboratories, renovation and expansion of libraries, and establishment of technology-enhanced classrooms.
